The Corporate Machine

The corporate machine looms over us like a dark cloud
Running our lives, controlling the way we think
Holding the power to buy the air we breath and dash our lives apart
Like a human body against a jagged rock
It holds government by the balls and threatens to pull
In essence it runs this world
Money
Greed
Fame
It's always been what we're all about
As a nation, as a people
We shit on eachother to get ahead
Because money is the divine power
Nothing can exist without wealth anymore
And it seems that way more and more everyday
There is no way to escape its wrath
Nothing that can be done to get away from its grasp
The stranglehold on our world and our lives
Are we wrong for accepting it?
I suppose not
It is only following what we were taught
And told is the way of the world
Just like the famous phrase
"God did it"
It's all full of shit
But we don't want to change
When it makes things more difficult
We embrace the easy change
And shun on the difficult
We don't want to revolt
We appear content living our lives of waste
Just so the machine can go stronger
No matter
Everything is alright as long as we want to lie to ourselves and the world
Who fucking cares anyway?

To get away
Block out the day
Live in dismay
In a padded room
Naked and alone
You're free from the clutches
Kill your mind
It's one less slave for the machine
